Miss Independent!!!

So Baylee wants to start feeding herself! This morning while I'm feeding her her yogurt, she decides that she wants to try it..... So I give her the rest in the bowl and she goes to town. Of course it was all over her face, but she got about half of it in her mouth.
She's such a Big Girl!!

Fun at the ZOO

We went to the Zoo today!!! Man was it hot, but we did have a lot of fun. Baylee really liked the monkeys, she kept saying oooo, oooo, then she puts her hand up to her armpit it's soooo funny. Most of the animals were sleeping and it seems like the Zoo has gotten smaller, but overall we had a good time.

Swim Time!!

It was a hot day today, so we decided to get out the kiddie pool and have fun playing in the water! We also ate popsicles Baylee ate hers then she ate mine:). She was loving it!!! Look how cute her little hat is!!
oooh cold popsicle!!!

Nauvoo, Illinois

We then went on to Nauvoo and there we went to the Temple which was gorgeous inside!! They have hard wood floors and everything inside is built exactly the way it would have been when the Saint built it back in 1846.

We went around to all of the different homes in Nauvoo. We saw Joseph's Smiths home and their family cemetery. We saw Brigham Youngs home, Wilford Woodruffs home, etc..... Basically we saw a lot of homes.

We also went to Carthage Jail and that was a neat experience in the picture above that is the Door that was shot through that killed Hyrum and Joseph. And that's the bullet hole, it was really neat to see. We had a really good time there. Although towards the end of the trip the houses all start to look the same!!!

Palmyra, NY

We then went on from Canada to Palmyra, NY. There we went to the Palmyra Temple and to the Sacred Grove. The Temple there is so small you have to make an appt. before you can go!
This picture was taken when i was at the Smith family farm right outside the Sacred Grove. The missionaries there told us that they cut out an opening in the tree's so that you could see the Temple from there.
After church that Sunday we went into the Sacred Grove. That's Rob and I resting on a bench that was placed in there. The Grove is so big and so dense that it started raining when we were in there, but we couldn't even feel the rain drops. It's so beautiful in there and so peaceful, you can just feel the spirit in there. It was an awesome feeling!

Niagara Falls, Canada

Our trip back east started out in Niagara Falls, Cananda! It was so pretty there the Falls are unbelieveable. When you get closer to them the mist is so powerful you get soaking wet! It was a lot of fun. Although I do have to say that Canada is a little weird. We stayed in Ontario and there was this one street that reminded me of Universal Studios. They had like 7 Haunted Houses and like 5 Wax muesems, it was so weird.
Friday night at the Falls the have a big Firework show that is over the Falls and that was really awesome.

Baylee's First Haircut

Baylee's first haircut! I know she doesn't have a lot of hair to begin with, but she was getting a mullet in the back so we had to cut some off.

I was at work so Rob took her over to his mom's and she cut her hair. Rob said she did really good. We put some of her hair in a little baggy so I could put it in her baby book!!
